Enter the Temple and survive against the monster created by your fears. The light will protect you on your progress, spread the light through the temple by activating beacons. You must make it through the temple and pass the trial.
This was a scrapped game from the beginning of 2020, and it's also my first gamejam game I've ever made. The game was too big to be finished within the gamejam time and many of the mechanics were broken from my inexperienced. So for 2021 Halloween, I thought it would be a good chance to fix up and share this failed game.

I really liked the art but could not figure out how to get past the second light. I think you have a beautiful game here but you should make it more intuituve to play.I still enjoyed what I played and I think you have a great concept here
It's a little hard to see, but there are black platforms that you have to jump onto to get past the monsters. It's one of my very first gamejam projects, but I agree that this was executed poorly.
I just replay it knowing that and with brightness at 100% but still found it very difficult. If you remade it and change the brightness or made the platforms have a bigger contrast I think you would have a great game. I mean the art alone is great and the mechanics are fun and challenging but the small details are what break this game. If you ever fix those details I would love to play it
